Who and what I am ?
Hello , my name is Sam Devos I am 21 and was born 20th of october in the city of Kortrijk (Belgium). I grew up at a little calm quite town called Hulste, where I still live.
Besides designing, music is my biggest passion. Since childhood I was already active in a musicschool where I played the clarinet as you understand being a teenager who played the clarinet wasn´t actually cool, so later on I picked up the guitar which I still play. Besides that I play the piano some times too.
How did I end up in webdesign ?
Now talking about my profession I started studying electro mechanics during high school. But with the lack of interest and thinking a factory would be my home base I wanted to do something more fun and more creative.
So I ended up studying MCT( Multimedia & Communication Technology) at the HOWEST(Kortrijk).Thinking web design would be a big part of the education I soon discovered this wasn´t so, instead programming and computers technology where the main line for the education. But I learned the basics in Photoshop , Dreamweaver ,... during my 1 year of MCT.
So when I failed in programming, I had to quit and there was no more education that was interesting for me, so I decide to worked for 1 year at the company Liften Coopman as an maintenance technician.
But then I heard of a new education at the same school which calls Devine that was certainly gonna to be my thing.
Devine was actually a combination of developer and a designer , as design was no problem for me I got behind in programming and saw way to much asp , jquery , php, actionscript at the same time.
So I continued working in Photoshop and dreamweaver and try to improve myself on every new design!
I do now have 3 years of experience in photoshop and dreamweaver and the knowledge of Illustrator ,flash and flash actionscript CS3
